By 2030, Indonesia is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2060.
One of the NDC targets is energy conservatory for commercial and household buildings. Among the energy-saving strategies for buildings, one of them is the concept of green building which has a massive impact on energy savings and can reduce carbon emissions.
Some points are measured in the assessment of the green building. One of them is electricity and water conservation. With Indonesia's condition that has two seasons, We have abundant rainwater that can be captured, collected, processed, and reused.
With a siphonic system, rainwater that falls on the roof can be captured entirely and flowed into the rainwater tank for use. This method is called rainwater harvesting. Rainwater harvesting has been widely applied to buildings in Indonesia. One of them is Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). YIA is the first airport to achieve the Gold Greenship Building certificate.
In the YIA project, we provide a service that is one of SFM's advantages, namely Rainwater System Integration. SFM's engineering team not only provides the design of the pipeline system but also provides recommendations for gutter, channels, rainwater tanks, and overflow pipe dimensions.
SFM initiates and supports the movement to conserve the environment by using fewer pipes, an effective and environmentally-friendly system, and are compatible with the rainwater-harvesting method.
